Aura helps women understand their cycle — not by counting days on a calendar, but by reading what the body is actually doing, and explaining it plainly.
What Aura does
Most cycle apps predict from averages. Aura confirms from evidence. It combines basal body temperature, ovulation (LH) test results, and cervical mucus observations — optionally alongside continuous temperature from a wearable — to confirm that ovulation has occurred, rather than guessing when it might.
Every day, Aura shows a Reliability Index: an honest measure of how confident it is, and what single piece of information would make it more so. When there isn't enough data, it says so instead of pretending.
One product, three purposes
- Conceive — pinpoint the fertile window for those trying to become pregnant.
- Prevent — fertility awareness for those avoiding pregnancy. Aura is not a contraceptive; see our Terms.
- Health — track cycle patterns over time and surface anything worth raising with a clinician.
The cycle as a health signal
Cycle irregularity is often the first visible sign of something treatable. When Aura sees a pattern in your own logged data — cycles varying widely, a short luteal phase, low temperatures alongside fatigue — it tells you gently and suggests speaking with a clinician. It never diagnoses. That distinction is deliberate and it is not negotiable.
Wherever you already are
Aura works as an app, on WhatsApp, and over plain SMS — and the same engine answers on all three. A woman with a feature phone in Kano gets the same confirmed ovulation and the same health awareness as a woman with a wearable in Dallas. That parity is the point, not a fallback.
Privacy as architecture
Photographs of ovulation test strips are analysed on your own device and never uploaded. Your health data is never sold. You can delete everything, permanently, whenever you choose. Read the full Privacy Policy.

An honest note on evidence
Aura's ovulation confirmation and health-pattern features are built on established clinical methods, but Aura itself has not yet completed a prospective validation study. We are planning one, and we will publish the results — including how often the app is wrong. Until then, we describe what Aura observes rather than claiming clinical accuracy we have not yet demonstrated.
